I am eating my way through Asia and will surely come back with a bag (and belly) full of culinary inspiration. My first stop was Thailand. And since food is everywhere in Thailand, I surely got a chance to dig into it. From my first bite into authentic Thai food from the street vendors in Bangkok, the many visits to night markets travelling my way down south, to a fancy meal in a trendy restaurant on one of the islands. Hallelujah! With only one worry on my mind: when am I ready to eat again? Thai food is known for its simplicity and balance of flavours (sweet, sour, salt & spicy). And everything is fresh, just the way we like it at T&L. Around a few basic ingredients - lemon grass, chillies, fish sauce, kafir lime leaves (fantastic stuff, I need to grow a tree), ginger, garlic and lime - they build many, many tasty dishes. I have
tasted the food, learned how to cook it and written down the recipes.
Time to go to Vietnam! |
